Brescia’s Civil Hospital

Solidarity has no boundaries, and so in the context of the project “A Swimming in the Seas of the Globe” promoted by Salvatore Cimmino, 136 hospital beds donated by the Don Gnocchi Foundation to the Istituto Suore di Santa Dorotea di Cemmo and starting with the collaboration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to 3 hospitals in the Democratic Republic of the Congo where the missionaries of Santa Dorotea di Cemmo operate, the Brothers of Charity and the Caracciolini Fathers were immediately made available for the ongoing emergency, through the Brescia Red Cross, to the Civil Protection Lombarda. The beds were thus destined for the Brescia Civil Hospital: 20 at the pre-triage tensile structure at the hospital, another 20 at the hospital to accommodate additional Covid 19 patients and the rest awaiting placement in another useful facility.

“We are very happy – our sisters say: once the path was identified, it was easy to make this donation. The collaboration and goodwill network that started on Monday when this idea came to us is also impressive. Now we all trust in the hands of God”
