There are those who build barriers to keep people away, and those to keep them close: we shouldn’t spend our lives worrying about pleasing someone or not, we’d better make sure they treat us as we deserve. Taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of others.

Implementing the PEBA, (Architectural Barrier Elimination Plans), would mean creating a world for everyone and everyone, it would mean creating services that lack a charitable connotation but able to satisfy the needs of citizens, not only in terms of performance but also of aesthetics and design: a mother with her baby in a stroller has needs similar to those of those who use a pram for their personal mobility, and the walkways for the beach can represent an ideal solution for both needs.

If then, in addition to connecting the cabins to the shore, these same walkways also developed laterally, a good service would be given to everyone, without creating a beach dedicated only to people with disabilities.

Ghettos are not liked and are of no use to anyone. Accessibility is achieved only with planning and constant attention to all the elements that make it up, remembering for example to build ramps and not steps, to keep the sidewalks in good working order by eliminating holes and protruding roots.

Working for accessibility should become a daily modus operandi.
